COMPANY HISTORY

Triangle Safe & Lock started in 1964 as the “Key and Saw Shop”. Located on Meeting Street in West Columbia, the owner Homer “Jack” Bachman ran the business with his wife Milbrum. With the help of their son Larry, they sharpened saw blades and provided basic locksmithing and carpentry services. Eventually they would move to their iconic location on the corner of Augusta Road and 12th Street, where they significantly expanded their selection of lock and security products and services.

In 1986, ownership of the business was transferred to Larry Bachman, who had the business incorporated as “Triangle Safe & Lock, Inc.” During this time Larry served as President of both the North Carolina Locksmith Association and the South Carolina Locksmith Association, and became recognized as a Certified Master Locksmith by Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA).

Having outgrown the location on 12th Street, Triangle Safe and Lock moved to our current location on Sunset Boulevard in June 2006. There you will find Larry’s children, Kelsey and Lance, continuing the tradition started by their grandfather, and managing the shop while Larry hunts his way into retirement. With over 50 years of satisfied customers, the new generation is committed to providing our customers with the security and peace of mind they have come to expect from Triangle Safe and Lock!
